Author: Махаматов, Таир Махаматович
Annotation: The article provides a comparative analysis of the humanistic ideas of Eastern and Western thinkers, in particular, Yusuf Khos Khojib and representatives of the European Renaissance. The author identifies both common features and fundamental differences between Eastern collectivism and Western individualism. It is shown that the basis of Eastern humanism is community, moral responsibility and state integrity, while in Western philosophy humanism acquires the features of rational egoism and liberal individualism. Based on the work "Kutadgu Bilig" by Yusuf Khos Khojib, the author demonstrates how the Eastern understanding of humanism permeates all levels of social life. The work actualizes the importance of the cultural-historical approach in the philosophical discourse on man and society.
