Annotation: This article analyzes the information perception and processing strategies of users in the national internet segment of Uzbekistan from psychological and gender perspectives. The study explores cognitive mechanisms in the digital environment based on the heuristic-systematic model and construal level theory. Drawing on statistical data for 2021–2026, the dynamics of internet usage, the gender digital divide, and cross-platform preferences are highlighted. The results indicate that information consumption is shifting from a text-based format to an audio-visual format, while emotional factors and levels of smartphone dependency remain high. The article concludes with strategic recommendations for enhancing digital literacy and ensuring gender equality.
