Annotation: This article analyzes the place and role of women in labor activity. The contribution of women to the development of society is highlighted. The importance of women's active participation in economic development is emphasized. Issues of ensuring gender equality in the workplace are considered. The rights and guarantees of women in labor activity are studied. The work of women in social spheres is analyzed separately. Measures to support women's employment in state policy are outlined. The problems faced by women in the labor market are highlighted. Their role in leadership positions is studied. At the end of the article, conclusions are drawn on the development of women's labor activity.
