Annotation: This article analyzes the socio-philosophical essence of the ideas of human freedom and enlightenment in the work of Mahmudkhoj Behbudi. It also highlights Behbudi's interpretation of man as the main factor in the development of society through these views, which were formed within the framework of the Jadid movement. The role of enlightenment in human development and its importance in the re-development of society are substantiated using examples of Behbudi's literary heritage.
