Author: Sharofova, Diyora Shavkat qizi

Annotation: In the 21st century, Moroccan migration has developed to Europe, America and the Middle East. However, Moroccan migration has deep historical roots and its formation dates back to the period of the protectorate established by France. Moroccans were initially recruited as migrant workers for short and seasonal work in the early years of the protectorate. However, in recent years, due to cultural familiarity, language superiority, protectorate ties and migration chains, Moroccan immigrants have sought to settle in France for a long time. The main factors for this are the increasing unemployment rate in Morocco, demographic problems and a centralized management system. France was interested in migrant workers due to its own development of production and industrial expansion. Therefore, France offered migrant workers language, transport facilities, infrastructure and the services of recruitment agencies. Moroccan workers worked in France in the agricultural sector, mining, metallurgy and manufacturing plants. The scale of Moroccan migration has changed significantly since it signed agreements with countries such as the Netherlands, Belgium, and Sweden.
