Annotation: The article explores the linguocultural features of expressing the category of politeness in Chinese and Uzbek languages. Special attention is paid to the cultural specificity of greetings, apologies, and compliments, as well as to the distinction between culture-dependent and universal politeness strategies. The analysis demonstrates that communicative behavior is closely tied to cultural traditions, and identical expressions may be interpreted differently across national cultures. The study concludes that politeness is a universal category of human interaction, yet its realization is always determined by the cultural context of a given nation.
