Annotation: The study examines the lexico-semantic features of terminology associated with Guohua (国画), traditional Chinese painting. Particular attention is paid to semantic specialization, metaphorization, terminologization and the interaction of linguistic meaning with cultural and aesthetic concepts. The analysis shows that Guohua terms perform both nominative and interpretative functions and often require contextual or descriptive translation.
