Annotation: The purpose of this article is to examine the psychological relationship between communicative competence and gender equality in the professional work of tour guides. It should be noted that this issue has been understudied within the framework of psychological research in this area, which determines its scientific relevance. In particular, the article emphasizes the need for tour guides to develop such qualities as gender culture, emotional intelligence, empathy, the ability to deeply understand the thoughts and experiences of others, as well as a number of other psychological characteristics that ensure effective interaction with tourists belonging to different nationalities, cultures, and religious faiths. Furthermore, based on data from socio-psychological research, as well as international theoretical approaches and practical experience, it can be argued that a system of interpersonal communication based on the principles of gender culture contributes to the formation of an atmosphere of mutual trust and a positive emotional background in tourist groups. This, in turn, can serve as an important prerequisite for enhancing the professional image of tour guides and creating conditions for effective interaction and cooperation in the field of tourism.
