Annotation: Gender equality is a relatively recent concept introduced into the process of social transformation, which needs to be internalized over the long term by being reflected in societal practices and patterns of behavior, as well as deeply embedded in social consciousness. This article analyzes the essence of the concept of gender equality, its role and significance in social development, and the mechanisms for ensuring gender equality. In addition, the issue of gender equality is examined within industrial sectors, particularly the cement industry, which has traditionally been dominated by men. The study highlights institutional approaches that support gender equality, the creation of equal opportunities in the workplace, and their close relationship with sustainable development.
