ИСПОЛЬЗОВАНИЕ АУТЕНТИЧНЫХ КОРОТКИХ ВИДЕОРОЛИКОВ ДЛЯ РАЗВИТИЯ МЕЖКУЛЬТУРНОЙ КОММУНИКАТИВНОЙ КОМПЕТЕНЦИИ НА УРОКАХ КИТАЙСКОГО ЯЗЫКА

Annotation: The article examines the use of authentic short video materials in teaching Chinese as a foreign language at the university level, with a particular focus on the development of intercultural aspects of communicative behavior. The study emphasizes the importance of moving beyond translation-based language instruction toward fostering intercultural awareness and pragmatic competence. Based on classroom observations and teaching practice, the paper analyzes how authentic short videos reflecting everyday communication of native speakers contribute to students’ understanding of politeness norms and speech strategies in Chinese. The findings suggest that exposure to authentic communicative models enhances students’ sensitivity to indirectness, mitigation strategies, and culturally appropriate language use. The article highlights the pedagogical potential of short authentic videos as an effective supplementary tool for developing intercultural communicative competence in higher education.
