Annotation: The article analyzes gender issues in the countries of Central Asia in the context of contemporary socio-political and socio-economic transformations. It examines the key challenges to achieving gender equality, including persistent socio-economic inequality, the influence of traditional and patriarchal norms, and the limited participation of women in political and public life. The impact of international norms and commitments on the development of the gender agenda in the region is also analyzed. The article concludes that a comprehensive approach to gender policy is a significant factor in ensuring sustainable development and social stability in the countries of Central Asia.
