Annotation: This article examines, from a scientific and theoretical perspective, the normative and legal foundations of ensuring gender equality and its harmonization with family values. The content and significance of the legislation, state policy, and international legal instruments related to gender equality in the Republic of Uzbekistan are analyzed. In addition, the interrelationship between the principles of gender equality and the institution of the family, Uzbek national traditions, and values is comprehensively explored. The study concludes that gender equality is a key factor in ensuring harmony, justice, responsibility, and stability in family relations.
