Annotation: This article analyzes the formation of gender stereotypes within the framework of family psychology, their impact on the process of raising children and the development of social consciousness in society based on psychological and legal approaches. The study examines the interrelationship of theories of gender socialization, psychological characteristics of family relations, and regulatory and legal documents aimed at ensuring gender equality in the Republic of Uzbekistan. The results of the empirical study confirm that gender stereotypes in the family directly affect the personal development, self-esteem and social activity of children.
