Annotation: The article is about adjectivization in modern Chinese as one of the main processes of part-of-speech transposition. Particular attention is given to the transformation of verbs into adjectives through participial forms, accompanied by the loss of aspect, tense, voice, and government categories. Theoretical approaches to the problem of predicativity and the role of adjectivized forms in Chinese syntax are analyzed.
