Annotation: China's rise as Uzbekistan's leading trade partner highlights regulatory differences in inspection-quarantine systems as a barrier to agricultural trade. Analyzing bilateral trade data (2015–2024), this study identifies significant disparities in procedures and cost mechanisms, which raise trade costs and risks. It proposes a tripartite approach—enhanced coordination, financial safeguards, and demonstration zones—to facilitate trade and inform broader regional cooperation in Central Asia
